Scientific Partners Task Force
The Scientific Partners Task Force (SPTF) is comprised of academic and research consultants as well as community organizations that the Foundation contracts with to meet the objective of reducing the harmful use of alcohol in the six City Pilots around the world. Steering Committee
The Foundation’s commitment to a multisectoral collaboration model extends to the City Pilot Steering Committees. Steering Committee members include representatives from local or regional government and the public health sector or health services organizations, law enforcement, and academia, and a representative from the local AB InBev company. Steering Committees are charged with working to select and adapt interventions aimed at reducing the harmful use of alcohol. Each Steering Committee has a Coordinator who is responsible for facilitating coordination, collaboration, and local ownership.
The Foundation employs a full-time Program Officer in the City Pilots to ensure the successful implementation of Foundation-funded program activities. Our Program Officers support the planning, implementation, and management of these interventions and program partners in their city in partnership with various stakeholders. In addition, they attend local Steering Committee meetings to provide updates on program activities and share any Foundation-related updates. The Foundation offers each Steering Committee relevant technical assistance for their actions.
